I just saw this picture. Can someone please tell me what the *&#$ is going on here. Is the kind of president America needs? I don't mean a gay one. I mean one that has no principles that he will not bend or break for anyone. America needs a president that will not kowtow to anyone. It is my view that this is without a doubt totally unacceptable behavior from any world leader.
If you have a different point of view let me know.

Racism in the CBC
So we have heard some questionable comments from members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) before, but this time they pretty much call themselves racists outright. It has been know by many that some black politicians display racist tendencies. They often ask others no matter their race to help blacks. However, they rarely ask their black colleagues to help anyone other than blacks. As a matter of fact, one might say they are black-centric. Further, one might also say that black politicians get away with saying some outrageous things about their white counterparts.
Now, even the blacks themselves have noticed and began to speak out against it. In the most glaring example we see blacks protecting the president from themselves and his political opponents.
Here is an article that explains it very well:
It has quotes from Maxine Waters, Frederica Wilson, Emanuel Cleaver, and Andre Carson.

Constitution Day
Happy Constitution Day!
I just wanted to quickly this all important date in the history of this great country. Let’s not forget what makes this country so great: The Constitution. This document is one of the most well written and powerful documents ever. I am proud to be an American and to be under the protection of a set of laws and beliefs that has never been equaled. With the drafting of this document the founding fathers gave birth to the greatest nation that ever graced the face of the Earth. We owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude.
Happy Constitution Day!

How About Some Honor?
We have elected people to represent us as a group because we cannot in an effective manner represent ourselves individually. We chose those who basically pass an interview-like process when they campaign. We collectively ask them questions which are important to us. Our elected officials answer them as well as they can. And when they are elected they seem to lose their memory and forget how they answered our questions. Once they are elected they lose their honor.
Honor, it seems, has been lost to history or has been relegated to movies and books. I know my voice is small and the reach of this blog is even smaller, but I implore our politicians to find their honor. The leaders we have chosen are beginning to look like the politicians of third world countries. They are now at the rhetorical level equivalent to that of shoe throwing anti-American Muslim ideologues.
There are plenty of examples of this all over the internet. There are numerous democrats quoted as saying some very incendiary things. They accuse the Republican Party and more specifically the Tea Party movement of being racist and of wanting to see black people as second class citizens. This is not only false, but utterly inflammatory.
In closing, I just want to say that we can all do our part to regain our collective honor. If there is a dishonorable person that is up for re-election we should not vote for him or her and send everyone a message that such behavior will not be tolerated.

Enumeration
Obama’s Failures
1. “Stimulus”: after nearly a trillion dollars wasted on bailouts the economy is still floundering like a fish out of water.
2. Promises: as we all know he has yet to make good on any of his campaign promises. (I don’t mind this because I am against most of his policies)
3. Leadership: on every issue that has faced us since he took office he has failed to lead or even show a willingness to take a leadership role.
4. Duties: it seems like every time you look for the president you have to look in a golf course or at a vacation spot for the rich and famous.
5. Responsibility: he has yet to take any responsibility for anything. He has blamed everything and everyone including members of his own party.
6. Credibility: he can’t be believed because every time he says something it goes against what Americans are experiencing. He says that his administration is creating jobs yet the unemployment rate keeps climbing.
7. Diplomacy: he gets two big thumbs down for betraying Israel and befriending Hezbollah.
8. Hope: He ran on a promise of hope and change and all he brought was despair and tired old politics.
9. Inspiration: The President of The United States of America is, and traditionally has, inspired a nation to greatness. The only thing this president has inspired is the demanding from the whimpering entitlement-minded leftists that would love to see this great country fall into the death grip of communism.
10. Pursuit of Happiness: The Declaration of Independence grants us the right to the pursuit of happiness, but thanks to the president and the democrats in government that right has been whittled away to such an extent that happiness seems too far off for most us to achieve.

I Do Not Like This Uncle Sam
I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like his health care scam.
I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books.
I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals.
I do not like ex-speaker Nan, I do not like this 'YES WE CAN.'
I do not like this spending spree, I'm smart, I know that nothing's free.
I do not like their smug replies, when I complain about their lies.
I do not like this kind of hope. I do not like it. nope, nope, nope.

And Then There Were…
On the morning after the Iowa Straw Poll Tim Pawlenty has bowed out of the presidential race. The candidate for the presidency finished in third place in the poll behind Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul.
In a field of ten candidates plus a place for “other” candidates the results were as follows:
Michele Bachmann 28.65% 4823 votes
Ron Paul 27.74% 4671 votes
Tim Pawlenty 13.62% 2293 votes
Rick Santorum 9.84% 1657 votes
Herman Cain 8.65% 1456 votes
Rick Perry 4.26% 567 votes
Mitt Romney 3.37% 567 votes
Newt Gingrich 2.29% 385 votes
Other 0.96% 162 votes
Jon Huntsman 0.41% 69 votes
Thad McCotter 0.21% 35 votes
With Tim Pawlenty out of the race, that leaves nine named candidates from this poll. There are quite a few others that have thrown their hats into the ring, but they aren’t worth considering. They are the fringe element and maybe just seeking publicity and a story they may one day tell their grandchildren.
Out of the nine remaining, three others should stop wasting their time, money and resources: Thad McCotter, Jon Huntsman, and Newt Gingrich. The first two couldn’t even get a half of a percent of the voters to cast their votes for them. The third is the interesting one. Newt Gingrich has experience to spare. However, he came off as just a grumpy old man in the debate leading up to the poll. He seemed to be angry to be there, angry to have to answer questions and miffed with his competition. And let’s not forget that his campaign has been a train wreck with his staffers quitting en mass then another mass exodus of his fund raising team. With these three and Tim Pawlenty out of the race we will start to get a clearer picture of what is in store for us.
One thing of note here is the fact that Rick Perry had not yet declared himself a candidate and still placed sixth in front of Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. In a less than gentlemanly way Rick Perry announced his candidacy on the same day that Michele Bachmann was pronounced the winner of the Iowa Straw Poll. He should have been gracious and let Michele Bachmann have her day.
Bachmann – Rubio in 2012?
It is going to be a wild ride for the next few months.

Republic vs. Democracy
The United States of America is NOT a democracy. I know that everyone believe it is, but it in reality it is not. This country has never been a democracy. Our country is a republic. Nowhere in the Pledge of Allegiance does the word democracy exist. Nor does it exist anywhere in both The Constitution of the United States of America or the Declaration of Independence. Further, it doesn’t appear in any of the constitutions of all the fifty states.
Here is the whole Pledge of Allegiance:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
I cannot speak eloquently enough to make this all too important point. So I found an excellent video to make it for me. I know it’s a little bit long, but it is worth every second.

Speeches? We Don’t Need No Stinking Speeches
Recently we have had quite a few national events. Events ranging from the debt issue to floods and the shooting down of a U.S. military helicopter. All these events have one thing in common; they all demand action. Action that has to come from the highest office in the nation, the president needs to act.
Although these events and many more require action from all fronts, the person who has the power to get something done has been, perhaps, sitting on his hands. The president has failed to act time and time again. Instead, he takes to the airwaves and makes speeches. He even has called for network time to announce that nothing is being done. What kind of leader does this? Also, he has made the majority of his speeches the platform for scolding his political opponents. He now holds the distinction of making the most speeches and also the most inept person to hold the office of the president of United States.
Americans have always been people of action. If there is a problem we jump into action to find a solution. We don’t get on a soap box and make speeches. When a neighbor needs help we lend a hand. We do not walk up to a microphone and pontificate about the possible problem or the lack of merit in the proposed solutions.
We are living in an unprecedented time. There are increasingly more complex issues facing us each day and they all demand action not words. Perhaps the old adage is true; actions speak louder than words.
The time for speeches is long gone. Now is the time to act.
I am sure I will be acting to change the status quo on the next Election Day.
Obama must be a one-term president!

Geithner Has Got To Go
Over the past few months we have heard so much about the debt ceiling and the possibility of having the nation’s credit rating down-graded. We have heard from everyone on all sides of the issue. Well, we heard from everyone save for Timothy Geithner. We should have heard more from this guy than any other. Why is he so important to this problem? Simply, he is the United States Secretary of The Treasury.
Geithner, following in Obama’s footsteps, has proven to be lacking leadership skills and independent thought. He has taken no positive action in this issue. This is just another page from Obama’s book; inaction.
As I write this, Obama is finishing up a speech and backing Geithner. Obama’s speech and his backing of Geithner are already having an effect on the stock market. The market opened and quickly lost about 300 points. As soon as Obama finished his speech the market went down another 200 points. This administration is a hideous, deformed leviathan that the democrats only want to grow bigger and more distorted. There is a solution for that; make Obama a one term president.
Geithner should step down from his position and let someone competent take over. Oh, but if it was only that easy. It isn’t easy because Obama would insist on inserting one of his yes-men in to the position.

Way to Go Obama
Obama’s lack of leadership and his inaction on the debt ceiling has led us to the worst two weeks in the stock market since 2008. The last 9 0f 10 trading day the Dow Jones Industrial Average has ended in negative numbers. Punctuated by the 513 point loss today, altogether the Dow Jones Industrial average has lost 1300 points or 10.5%. Without a true leader in the White House and strong backing from the Senate and the House of Representatives, we will continue to flounder as a nation and world financial power.
Do Obama and his democratic henchmen not understand that in order to pay for all of their socialist programs they need to create an environment conducive to businesses and job creation? Without businesses and jobs to pay taxes their programs can’t be funded. Is Obama really that nescient or is he just too stubborn and ideological to realize this? It is pretty straight forward; you tax businesses and individual so the more businesses and individuals there are who pay taxes the more revenue. The solution seems simple enough for a fifth-grader with a lemonade stand to understand, why he doesn’t understand.
This president and his cronies are hell-bent on destroying the very thing that built this country; free enterprise.
Way to go Obama, first you kill business growth, then jobs, and further you devalue our currency, and now you kill our economy. You are without a doubt the worst president this nation has seen.

Carter-ized
In the past week democrats and republicans have been battling over the debt ceiling and which approach is best. Both parties were placing blame on each other. Speaker of the House John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid were on the front lines of the battle. They were in the forefront of the debate. They each were responsible for submitting debt plans and they both did so. All this was making headline news for week, and in particular last week. One glaring absentee was Barack Obama. In one of the worst debt debates where was Obama? He was nowhere to be found. What’s worse is that he himself did not weigh in on the debate with a plan of his own. Then finally a deal was reached and still no sight of Obama. What kind of leader does this? What leader would let his subordinates handle the most important responsibilities? Some may say that he is delegating responsibility. But when a leader assigns responsibility then is nowhere to be found when there is need for his intervening, well then, that’s when it becomes a failure of leadership.
Obama is now, in the eyes of a growing number of people, the worst president in our nation’s history. That distinction was reserved for Jimmy Carter since his term in office. Carter was known for inaction and incompetence. Obama is making Carter look good. Obama has failed in every aspect of his job. He has infamously gone golfing more than any other president. Perhaps that is a good thing; if he is golfing he can’t screw anything up at the office. He made so many promises to get elected and hasn’t made good on any of them. He has done so poorly that even the union leaders have started to back away and distance themselves from him. Obama is perhaps the most incompetent president ever. He is so bad that even members of his own party can’t and won’t count on him. During the debate no democrats called on him for advice. What does that say about the man and his party? I believe it says that there is a lack of confidence within the party’s leadership and a complete abandonment for the president.
It will indeed be a sad day and a sad commentary on our collective intelligence if he should be re-elected.

What Happened to Manhood?
A Call to Arms
What is manhood? What makes a man? Are we men simply because of the genitals we carry? Are we said to be men just because we reach a certain age? The answers, as I see them, to these questions aren’t too difficult to find. We are only men when we act as men. We are men when we become responsible for our actions. When we develop character and principles is when we become men.
They say actions speak louder than words. I believe that to be a true statement. I especially believe that when it comes to acting like a man. I believed myself to be a man on my 18th birthday, but I was mistaken. Far from that day is when I finally started to metamorphose into a man. I was a child pretending to be a man well into my mid-twenties. Until that time I was saying one thing and doing another. I was dressing like a kid. I was always in shorts and a t-shirt. Yes, the way we dress has a lot to do with being a man. For instance, a man would “dress for dinner” some years ago. Even in his own home and at his own dinner table he would make sure to wear a shirt. Not a t-shirt, but a full button-down shirt. Of late, we see so called men taking their families to dinner and they are dressed in shorts a tank-top and flip-flops. This seems ludicrous to me. Actions make the man. A man’s actions should be his words and his words should be his actions. By this I mean that a man should always act in accordance with what he believes and expounds. Therefore, if he wants to be seen and treated like a man he should act like a man.
Of course, this is all part of developing character. Character in a man is the signature he puts on his life’s accomplishments. To wit, a man’s accomplishments mean much less if he acquired them without character. An example of this would be; a person reaches his goal of earning a six figure income, but he does it by treachery and less than honorable means. This, to me, is less of an accomplishment than if it had been done with good moral conduct.
Character will only thrive on a foundation of principles. Principles are a set of beliefs within a man that cannot be bought off or cast aside. Principles are what give a man his strength. They are the strength to stand up for himself, the strength to say yes when everyone else says no. Principles are what give man courage. Without principles and character we would be but boys and cowards.
Manhood has taken a big hit in the past few decades, but it lives in some of us. For those of us, and I consider myself a neophyte at it, who are men in every sense of the word, we have the responsibility to instill true manhood onto others for the betterment of our society.

We Are Idiots
We must all be idiots to be taken advantage like this. There are very few words to describe what I am feeling right now. We are being played like little children by our government. If there was ever an argument for smaller government than this, I have never heard it. Now I am not a big fan of Ron Paul, but he may be right in calling for the abolishment of the Federal Reserve. My brother ran across an article online and forwarded it to me. I won’t try to explain it. I think that if you read it for yourself you will get the message load and much clearer than I could ever make it.

Weiners and Tigers, Oh My!
I seriously have no idea why some of people in the public eye do such dumb things. It seems that every other month there is a new sex scandal involving a high level politician. Why is it that when someone has some sort of power in office it turns into egotism? Further, it turns some people in to arrogant narcissists.
Anthony Weiner was probably the worst of the recent bunch. He admitted to sending graphic pictures in various poses and states of undress. None on the recipients wanted those pictures. Even a porn star went on the record to say she was sent pictures and texts messages that she did not want. He was so egocentric, arrogant, pompous, and self-important for weeks when he was denying the allegations. He even went on a national television show to tell his side of the story. He said he had been hacked. He then changed the words to “had been pranked” when he was informed that hacking was a federal offense and he should have the F.B.I. investigate. He knew he had sent those and that there was no hacking of his accounts. He went on to admit everything on a live news conference.
David Wu a democratic representative from Oregon was perhaps less like Weiner only in that he was quick to resign and admit his wrong-doing. Wu is accused of having unwanted sexual contact with a woman had just graduated from high school. This was not Wu’s first trespass. He has a record of this sort of thing dating back to the 1970’s. That’s bad enough, but there is more. He, for unknown reasons, sent his staff pictures of him dressed in a tiger costume. This latter issue isn’t illegal, but it sure is not professional. After receiving the picture some of his staff resigned.
I am sure they aren’t the last, but just the latest. There will surely be more. I don’t care what people do behind closed door in their private lives, but they should keep it to themselves. In this technology driven age there are very few secrets. Once the media gets a hold of anything like this you can bet there is only one outcome: total exposure of their whole life. The only way to avoid being found out is to not have anything to hide.

Obama Voters
It’s been over two and a half years since our last presidential election and just about fifteen months until our next one. Although, we are over a year away from the actual election the politicking is in full swing. Obama is no longer working at the job he was elected to do. Instead he is just out fund-raising and campaigning for re-election. During these last couple of weeks I have been asking myself; “who would vote for him?” I have a couple of answers and a few theories.
The first answer is fairly obvious; people “drank the kool-aid”. They were simply duped. Obama and the democrats told everyone what they wanted to hear and so the people voted for him. Perhaps if people were not so lazy and willing to take a handout and were a little better informed, we would have a different president now. In other words, Obama preyed on the ignorant and greedy.
The second answer is also simple; they are the hard-liners. These are the people that will vote for a candidate based only on what party he belongs to. There is nothing anyone can do to help them.
Okay now the theories. One of my theories; black voted for Obama because they would feel or be made to feel like they betrayed their race. Yes, I said it. I believe they just voted for a black president whether they agreed with his views or not. I wonder how many blacks regret their decision.
Theory two; white people voted for Obama because they thought it “cool” and very much in line with their progressive views. How can you be progressive and not vote for a minority? It seems that they think that if it has been done before then it is not progressive.
The third; Hispanics and in particular the ones in the southwest which are mostly Mexican, they also believed the political speeches. They believed that he was going to wave a magic want and give every immigrant citizenship via amnesty. The truth is that, he hasn’t and won’t do anything about it. He has barely mentioned this topic in the more than two years in office and he only mentioned it to blame the republicans for his inaction.
The only solution for all of this is; knowledge. We must all be informed as much as we possibly can.

The Strength of Our Flag
In a recently published study we see the strength of our flag. The study, LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF U.S. FLAG EXPOSURE ON REPUBLICANISM, was an eye opener. It makes many points on the positive effects of the flag on our political leanings. We have always known that our flag had an effect on how we feel. We have felt its power consistently throughout our nation’s short history. Francis Scott Key felt its power during the birth of this great nation. Our parents and grandparents felt its power when the stars and stripes were raised over Iwo Jima during WW2. We felt the power of old glory when it was rescued from the rubble of the World Trade Center towers after the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. This study proves beyond doubt that it is a truly powerful banner.
Here are a couple of good quotes from the study:
"A single exposure to an American flag resulted in a significant increase in participants' Republican voting intentions, voting behavior, political beliefs, and implicit and explicit attitudes, with some effects lasting eight months,"
"A single exposure to a small American flag during deliberation about voting intentions prior to a general election led to significant and robust changes in participants' voting intentions, voting behavior, and political attitudes, all in the politically conservative direction,"
That study's findings argued that attending July 4 parades are more beneficial to the Republican Party -- they boost turnout of GOP voters, increase Republican patriotism and turn kids into Republicans.
I love this country and I love our flag.

Revenue
Revenue: noun, the income of a government from taxation, excise duties, customs, or other sources, appropriated to the payment of the public expenses.
In the U.S. we have the I.R.S. (Internal Revenue Service). The I.R.S. is the federal entity responsible for the collection of taxes. The taxes are then treated as revenue and used to pay for government and all the programs that we are privileged to have. Half of us pay all the taxes for the whole country in the form of income taxes. The other half for whatever reasons doesn’t pay anything. Perhaps that includes the unemployed, retired, disabled and of course we can’t leave this group out; the swindlers who play the system to have all their taxes refunded. That’s a huge problem and it will only get worse. The retired and the disabled are another problem that has to be addressed. The retired persons sector will only increase in numbers as time goes by. As everyone knows, the average lifespan of Americans has been growing for decades now. To wit, the longer the retirees live the longer they burden our government programs that are there to help them. For some time now it seems that the trend in illnesses that warrant disability has been on the increase. Maybe we are becoming a less healthy nation or is it that people have found ways to work the system to take advantage. This will lead to a smaller section of Americans paying a larger portion of the taxes. And in the current economic climate with 9.2 % unemployment the actual number might be about 40%. It doesn’t take a financial wizard or a mathematician to see that the bottom line isn’t a healthy one. It’s also easy to see that the development of new social programs or the extension and enlargement of existing programs by the federal government is a horrible idea. The federal government must learn to live within its means. That’s economics 101.
